Collection: Black History Month is February

This is a collection of products we carry such as books written by acclaimed Authors, Ezra Jack Keats and Margaret Wise Brown, and beloved, award winning Illustrator Jerry Pinkney. A selection of dolls, and other products reflecting Black culture are also included.

Waldorf products, historically coming from North-Western Europe, were in the past representative of the dominant Caucasian culture. Effort has been made to create products more truly reflective of our diverse, and multi-cultural worldwide population. We are dedicated to sourcing out products that reflect, and represent more accurately your family at home. Our efforts continue every day!

The products highlighted in this collection to honour Canada's Black History Month in February, are the small beginnings of this worldwide effort to embrace true multiculturalism. All children should see themselves in our products.

Suggestions for businesses, and products that reflect this, are most welcome! Especially any small business whose products are made in Canada. We must do better.
